Could be much worse

Despite some diary co-ordination issues, I managed to get an appointment this morning to see Ben Liddy. I think Ben is a superb physio, not least because he's a top notch runner and doesn't say things like "...well you won't be able to run for 6 weeks..."

A quick check and Ben diagnoses a level 2 tear in my hamstring. 4-6 weeks to be totally fixed, but should be able to run by the weekend and build back up from there. Tiger is always very supportive and shrugged off the break from training "the rest will do you good and freshen you up for the next big block" was his response. I do need to be more careful with my body and shout when I start to feel one side or the other getting more tight than the other.

So all I can do for a few days is swim with a pull buoy. So to spare you reading my blog for the next few days, it will go like this: black line, black line, black line, tumble, kick off wall, twist, black line, black line, black line, tumble...
