Emerald Excursion

32km in 2:20

Another superb start to the day in Sydney. Started nice and steady some way off the back of the group chatting with Kona bound Mark Fiore on his plans for the IM World Champs in October. Really got me thinking about how much I miss getting out on the bike.

After about 5kms, it was time to get down to business, so I bridged the gap to the group over Anzac Bridge. Headed around Pyrmont with Ray Wareham and Tony Fattorini at the front. Really easy to navigate this run, we followed the foreshore all the way to the Art Gallery and then ran into Paddington. Tony turned off home and Ray dropped off leaving me and a new guy (Michael) to finish it off. With Tony and Ray gone, the pace naturally eased off a bit which I was glad of given I was running a touch faster than I should have been!

120km for the week
