28km in 2:07 (4:32s)
With daylight saving ending last night, the extra hour in bed was greatly appreciated. We started the 'Tourist Trot' near Centenial Park. About 10 starters in the group including Andy, Fats and Flakey. Andy is still struggling a bit with a hip issue which isn't good heading into the upcoming 100km World Champs. Looks like he'll be ok though, when I finished he went off for some extra laps of the park!
The group pushed on early which is unusual. Andy and I sat at the back most of the way and let the group get away. We both wanted to take it easy today, but cranked the pace up a little in the last 10km (4:20s). HR shows even with a slightly quicker last 10km, overall the run was nice and easy, averaging 74% of max, which is equal to my average warm down HR %.
This is one of my favorite STARs, I really enjoy running round the City when there's no traffic. One small incident though, I ran full speed into a lamp post (whilst looking at my watch). I managed to break my watch and cut my arm. Both of those are easily resolved, by my shoulder is starting to seize up which is a little worrying. Must take more notice of my surroundings.
127km for the week (highest load since July 2010)
